This is a San Francisco synagogue where we have a few alumni families (and a growing number of current chanichim). The principal is super friendly and loves Habonim Dror.
Congregation Beth Sholom, a synagogue affiliated with the Conservative movement, currently seeks a part-time (about 10 – 15 hours per month) Teen Educator / Youth Group Leader – Advisor.
Our ideal candidate is someone that is enthusiastic and energetic, who possesses some prior experience working with teens, who possesses some background knowledge and understanding of Jewish values, culture and religious practice, who will relish the opportunity to help build a community of Jewish teens.
The Teen Educator / Youth Group Advisor will support our teens by
- Developing programs and events for and with them – a combination of Social, Educational and Recreational events;
- Facilitate CBS teen communication
- Serve as adult chaperone at meetings and events, and at occasional regional weekend retreats.
