December Seminars
In December Habonim Dror hosts a seminar for all movement members who are post-MBI-aged and older. Each year we alternate between two different seminars: Winter Seminar and Veida. Both are described below. We are very excited for the Veida coming up in December 2015!
What is Winter Seminar?
Winter Seminar is a 6 day seminar where everyone in HDNA from post-MBI-age and older are brought together to learn, discuss relevant Habonim Dror questions, and have fun with friends, both old and new.
This is a great opportunity to reunite with your kvutzah and people from your machaneh, as well as meet people from other kvutzot and machanot! Participants will get to know each other with exciting chevrati peulot (fun and bonding activities) and plenty of shared experiences. Through interactive, experiential education, participants will be asked to grapple with questions about youth empowerment, Jewish leadership and how to go strengthen Habonim Dror as a movement working for social change.
Each year, this is the biggest gathering of Nachshonim (post-MBI and post-Madatz aged movement members) and Ma’apilim (post-Workshop aged movement members) for Habonim Dror, so come and join us!
What is Veida?
Veida is a 6 day seminar where everyone in HDNA from post-MBI-age and older are invited to participate in Habonim Dror’s democratic process. Participants will have the opportunity to reunite with old friends, make new ones and actively engage with the movement through chinuch peulot (educational activities), sichot (discussions) and chevrati peulot (fun and bonding activities).
Movement members will get to create, amend, discuss and vote on proposals that will shape the ideology and structures of Habonim Dror! Participants even get to vote in the election for HDNA’s new Mazkir/a (National Director).
This is our biggest seminar of the year and it is jam packed with interesting discussions, hard questions, good snacks and lots of fun.
